This is my first juicer steamer ever, so exciting when I first received it. I want to try extracting juice from different fruits with it.I had it for almost two weeks, had extracted juice from grapes and cranberries so far, I did not add any sugar when steaming grapes, because I used the juice right out of the pot to make jelly, my son's favorite dessert. those grapes jelly are the best jelly I ever taste in my life, so rich of grape taste. and it is much healthier than the package one in the store. but I did add sugar for cranberries, I want to make cranberries jam and cranberries juice. I only added about half of the suggestion amount sugar because the calories but extension the steaming time. they all turn out delicious. This steamer is well make with stainless steel, bottom pot is holding water to boil and stem, second pot that collects the juice from the top steamer basket. outside of the second pot, there is rubber tube with clamp closer attached to it to plump the juice out of the pot. the clamp closes the rubber tube so you can move from one glass jar to next one, make sure you always wear mitten when holding the glass jar because the juice from the pot is steaming hot, make sure clamp the rubber tube off earlier before juice reaching to top of the jar to prevent overflow. always have wet towel on the side so you can clean up the mess right away, those juice do get sticky fast. ( I learned from my mistakes)cleaning is super easy, I just hand wash it off with soapy water, rinse off with warm water and dry it with paper towel. I did not use the dishwasher to do the job because I could not find anything on the user manual abut dishwasher safe.I have also using this steamer to steam lobsters because the huge capacity of the steam basket, I was about to put three lobsters in there without problem. it works better than I ever have expected. To prepare a large dinner during holiday season or special even, this will become very handy. It can do much more than as just juicer steamer.
