When hanging, does it need to be secured into studs, or will the cabinet be fine in just drywall?

Not too difficult to build up but it has numerous parts. The small plastic triangle wedges took me a minute to figure out, the flat bit goes between the board and backing which tightens it up. It looks good

I like it but it took me hours to get it put together correctly. However, in all fairness, if someone is handy and used to doing this kind of thing, it probably would go a lot more smoothly. I like the mirror doors and the way they close.

This storage cabinet has clear instructions and is easy to assemble. It's made of high quality MDF and has a nice white finish to it. Assembly consists of 5 boards and 12 cam bolts fastening everything together.
Now for the bad: the dowels are loosely held in place, and go into one board 3/4 of the way so only a nub pops out to hold the other boards. Next, the cam screws that hold everything tight are left exposed, its very unsightly; how hard is it to include plugs or stickers? Lastly, the item is already heavy and the way this mounts to the wall is questionable. The dowel nubs attached to the sides and the contact from the rear support board makes with the top and backboard are the only thing keeping the cabinet frame from tearing off the small rear support board. This thing is not made to hold much weight as you can imagine.
As a competent DIYer, I used glue everywhere I could and also made a OSB plywood strip glued onto the bottom and secured with screws, similar to the top rear support board. Now I am able to use 4 snap toggles to mount this cabinet.
All in all, the stock cabinet is simple, sturdy enough, and worth the price
