A nice, attractive piece of furniture. It was easy to assemble without help. Pretty common sense assembly that I was able to accomplish without referring to the instructions (not necessarily recommended). It's plain to see the map is paper overlaid onto the globe but I don't think that's a big deal. This is not fine furniture and I didn't expect anything different for the price. I use it as an end table next to a leather sofa and it looks very nice. Just like the picture and it came without any of the flaws described by some of the other reviews.
