The directions were okay just picture but I ‘m used to putting this kind of furniture together. It took quite a long time to set up by myself. I was surprised by this bed frame, it goes together perfectly, there are a lot of parts, it's reasonably priced considering all the parts that are welded together, and it's semi-assembled in China, where a lot of labor went into making this product. We love the storage area underneath it. The quality is good enough that I'm sure it will last forever. I don't mind Chinese products as long as I don't eat it.

Bought this as a bed for a spare room, so probably won't see much use. Regardless of the price, it seems like a good buy. Looks just like the pictures, so no unpleasant surprises. The finish is good and I didn't notice any sharp or rough edges when assembling it. If it's not clear from the pictures, the black parts have a matte finish and the MDF planks look nice, but are obviously MDF. It took me less than an hour to assemble it myself and I had no problems or anything that looked out of place. In the end, I don't know if this bed would stand up to regular use, as I've only ever owned mattresses and box springs with slats, but it would certainly make a very welcome extra sleeping space.
