I had this set on a wish list and received it as a gift.;When I pulled the first chair back out of the box my heart sank and I thought, ohhhhh nooooo. It looked so small I thought it might be a child’s chair. But at that point I was stuck with them and I decided to put one chair together to see how it looked.;Once the first chair was assembled I realized the seat height was exactly the same as my old chair. It’s only the chair back that’s low. I was already aware of that from reading previous reviews.;Assembly was pretty simple if you follow the picture instructions. For context, I’m a 52 yo woman. The hardware includes everything needed for assembly but I used an electric screwdriver with an Allen wrench bit (highly recommend!) After the first chair, the process went even faster since I knew what I was doing. All four chairs took me less than 30 minutes (thanks to that electric screwdriver!);A couple things to note:;First, get all your screws started in each segment started before completing tightening all of them.;Second, my first chair came out completely square and level. The other three were wobbly and the leg lengths were off. I sighed and figured I’d need to buy some sort of rubber feet to make them more level. But no need! As soon as my family sat in them the chairs kind of righted themselves. They’re all four perfect now.;One last thing, I wanted these chairs for the weight load bearing limit. I’m a larger woman and needed chairs wide enough and strong enough for me. These chairs qualify.;I have zero bad things to say about this set.

These chairs are comfortable to sit in because the back is not straight like a ladderback chair, rather it curves slightly backward. They are sturdy and I appreciate that they can handle 400 pounds of weight since my husband broke two of our last chairs! They were fairly easy to put together, but they were all slightly wobbly on a flat floor. I think that might be due to the tiny O rings in the legs that did not meet cleanly. We tried to squish them in shape with pliers, but not too aggressively since there were no extras. What solved the problem was putting self-adhesive heavy-duty felt on the bottoms of all the legs and now they are steady and glide smoothly across the floor.

They are a bit heavy, sturdy, and I chose the same black as the dining table so it matches perfectly.
