  • Using as kitchen cabinets - Great for the price!

Bought two of these to replace some open bar-cart type shelving in our kitchen. First of all, these LOOK great. Much nicer. The right-hand shelves are just tall and wide enough to fit a KitchenAid stand mixer if you don\'t put in the additional shelf on the bottom. And as you can see from the photo, with the shelf in the middle position I was able to fit a salad spinner and a rice cooker (with the lid inverted). So very happy with how these look, how solid they are, and the amount they\'re able to fit.;The instruction manual for putting them together is one of those typical no-words, use pictures and common sense to put everything together. The first one took me probably an hour and a half by myself, the second one took an hour with a tiny bit of assistance. There\'s a step that is - be warned - nearly impossible to do by yourself. I somehow did it, but I would not recommend it unless you are part octopus, seeing as you need to align the backing, hold two doors vertical in their tracks, and screw a side panel in. All at the same time.;All holes were drilled well, everything fit for both pieces. I will say none of the hardware (screws, pegs, etc) had any extras in their bags, so be careful not to lose any as you assemble. You\'ll need a hammer (or rubber mallet) and screwdriver. An electric drill makes it much easier and faster at certain points, but it is optional.;Now, the hinged doors are a little wonky - they\'re being held in their \"tracks\" by gravity, so pulling them in and out isn\'t smooth. That said, for the price point these are excellent.
