Since it is on wheels (can be locked for stability), and it is an attractive wood finish, we leave it out near the kitchen area to have quick access when doing homework and math problems (kindergarten). Love having the flexibility of dual sided whiteboard, and also working vertically for certain times. I would say that a few improvements to the design would really make this even more functional. First: having a small holder under the white board to place a standard size marker - a must. Second, a rod of some kind near the top of the easel where a roll of white drawing paper could be held, making it easy to pull down the paper over the white board, secured at the bottom with the magnets, and ready for a painting or drawing a picture for artwork. Currently, the very handy shelf at the bottom holds paper and many other items, so that does help. Otherwise, it is a great purchase and I don't regret not having a chalkboard on one side. The white board is a better quality and with good washable markers it is easy to maintain. I did purchase separately a magnetic eraser that always adheres to the board and is handy to just grab and clean up after use. Highly recommend this product.

Can washable markers be used in whiteboard or ONLY dry erase markers?
A:
It will work, but it won't rub off easily. A water-based pen is recommended.
