This is a beautiful chair! It was very easy to put together. It's also easy to put together if you pay attention to the pictures in the instructions (like the spacing of the legs and the pictures indicating when to tighten them all the way and when to only tighten them 70% of the way). I used a flashlight to shine through the holes to make sure they were aligned. The chair is very well made - the wood feels nice, there are metal reinforcements around each bolt hole, there are little rubber pads on the bottom of each leg to prevent scratching the floor, and there are plastic pads on the top of the bolts on the back of the chair. I wouldn't lean back too hard because it obviously wouldn't be able to handle that much pressure. The green chair I bought is exactly the same color as described in the pictures. The height of this chair is also perfect for my piano! I don't think I could have designed a better chair to fit my piano and carpet. Great!
