I've assembled many chairs and other types of furniture from amazon and ikea ... so I'm fairly experienced with it. The backrest piece for this chair does not fit with the base -- so I've had to hammer the metal piece to force it in. The instructions are minimal and only say "Insert the back into the mechanism..." I'm still trying to work on it, and am thinking I'll have to use a knife to scrape out the plastic housing in the base to make the backrest piece fit.

Love this chair! I was wary about buying a desk chair without first trying it out, but my fears were for naught. The chair came well packaged with each piece individually bubble-wrapped and protected. Assembly was straight-forward and easy. The chair is very sturdy, weighing almost 35 lbs. The seat cushion is thick and well-shaped (see photo). I like that the back height and tilt is adjustable, and the seat height and tilt is also adjustable, along with the arm rest height, too. I am well-pleased with the quality of this chair. I would buy another.
