Good value patio set
06/27/2025For those wondering if this is a legitimate set or not … it is. I was a little skeptical ordering this, as there were no reviews and I had never ordered from costway before, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised! The table itself arrived before the chairs (5 separate packages) and my wife ended up assembling it on her own. The table top is a little thin, probably about an inch in thickness, and as you can see in the product pictures, made up of wooden slats, so I don’t think it is super sturdy, however it will serve its purpose as a patio table just fine. The table legs and frame system, however, seem to be very sturdy. The chairs arrived separately in the 4 remaining packages (2 chairs per box). Assembly was relatively simple and I must say I was actually impressed with how well labeled all of the parts were. All of the pieces had stickers on them and all of the bolts were separated and labeled appropriately in each box, which made putting together 8 chairs on my own relatively easy. The chairs themselves are very solid and while the pillows are thin they seem comfortable and have removable covers. I had my doubts that these chairs would be as sturdy as they claim to be (the product pictures say 400lbs capacity), however I think they may actually hold up to that. The one disappointment was that three chairs along the length of the table won’t actually tuck in under the table as shown in one of the product pictures. I was skeptical of this being the case anyways when reading the specifications posted of the width of each chair and the length of the table, but I wish they didn’t include the picture of them being able to be tucked in under the table in the product pictures. Nevertheless 8 can definitely sit around and eat at this table. Overall I am very pleased with this set. I can’t speak to longevity yet, as we just set it up this week, however with treatment of the wood as needed (oiling/weatherproofing as necessary) I think this set should last a while. Hopefully this review helps someone out that is in the same situation that we were … interested in the set but skeptical of its quality and legitimacy.
