Mobile Lateral Filing Organizer with 5 Drawers and Wheels

Love this cabinet and we added motion detection lights in them. This is a stout cabinet in my opinion and unfortunately the wheels provided are not at all up to the task of moving this cabinet. The weight of the cabinet alone keeps the wheels from turning. We will be upgrading the wheels and I think once we do we’ll be completely happy with it.

This is a nice cabinet. I put it together by myself in about an hour and half, taking my time. Pay close attention to the instructions, though, as the drawer rollers have several sets of holes that fit the pre-drilled holes in the wood. Would be better if the back panel was one solid piece instead of a folded one with plastic tape holding it together. I reinforced with duct tape.

I wish the directions to assemble the drawer had words not just pictures. Other than that the drawer is nice

I was very relived to find that the parts were labeled with letters. The instruction book doesn't have written instructions only illustrations of the pieces and how they go together. It was suggested by another reviewer to separate each piece out and then following the photo illustrations. Pay attention to the illustrations so you know that the pieces you are putting together are in the right directions. The same goes with the drawer rails. It took the two of us a couple of hours to build. I love the results. It is sturdy enough for my crafts and it looks good. It also have wheels which I like.

This cabinet is OK for storing lightweight items, but don't expect it to stand up if heavily loaded. The "engineered wood" mentioned in the description is inexpensive particle board sandwiched between thin vinyl sheets. This creates boards with good tensile strength; the problem is that the fasteners used to fasten the drawer rails are very small wood screws. If you purchase this piece, be VERY careful not to tighten these tiny screws hard. They will easily strip out the holes in the soft chipboard, especially where they screw into the "end grain" of the chipboard. I have little faith that they will hold for long. The bottom of the drawers and the cabinet back panel are 1/16" MDF, not very sturdy. It's worth mentioning that most of these flaws could be overcome by using longer screws to fasten the slider rails to the drawers, and specialty particle board screws for the rails which fasten to the sides of the cabinet. It would also be worthwhile to glue the drawer bottoms into the drawers and the cabinet back into the cabinet frame when assembling.

It takes a Phillip’s head screwdriver and about 2 hours but it’s super easy to assemble. It’s sturdy and makes for an attractive file cabinet for my 12x12 paper stacks. I would definitely purchase again.

This came packaged well, and even included extra hardware, which was a thoughtful touch. Assembly was not hard, but the instructions could be better. It's easy to assemble incorrectly, a process which was aided by not all of the pieces being labeled. Once assembled, it's very solid and sturdy. I assembled it finger-tight on the carpet to avoid scratches, then moved it over to the hard wood floor for final tightening. That way, you can make sure it is level and square before final tightening. Once assembled, it has some heft to it. I ended up not using the included casters, since I didn't have a need to move it once it is in place. I made some risers with my 3D printer and placed it on those. Very solid and won't move. The drawers slide out smoothly since they use metal slides, and not wood. My only complaint is that I wish the drawer bottoms were a little more substantial than what they are. It has not been a problem, since what I have stored in them is not heavy. But heavier objects could buckle the floors a bit. All in all a nice filing cabinet that I could definitely recommend.
