49 Inch Stainless Steel Mounted Swimming Pool Stair Rail

This should have been a breeze to install. The directions say to use a half-inch drill bit. I blindly did. And I regret it. The screws are 3/8", the holes in the base are 3/8", and the anchors are 3/8". The anchors just wobbled around in the too-big holes. I went to Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Harbor Freight, trying to find a similar plastic anchor in a half-inch size. No luck. By now I'm super frustrated that this all could have been avoided had the directions been correct. Luckily, I had some old lag shields that were one-half inch. They worked great. Overall, this is a good product. But they need to correct the directions. I spent half a day on something that should have taken about 20 minutes.

The handrail works. Two problems 1/2'' mounting holes you drill are too big for anchors they supply. The handrail is welded to the mounting plate (was not centered and squared) When bolting to the pool deck you square and center mounting plate to the pool steps. After mounting I looked at handrail (there was a bend to right of center). Manufacturer refunded $84.80 of the $169.59 I paid item.

I glued the bushings into the holes with Gorilla glue and let cure for 2 hours before tightening, don't over tighten. Very sturdy and looks great !

This is a cheap design and incomplete construction

When you start looking for a grab bar you will find out that not all are the same. Some don't have any hardware or any way of securing them to the pool deck and others say they are easy to install. This particular grab bar had all the installation hardware and a plate welded to the end so you can secure it to the pool deck without any problem. An easy install and a great product.
