    This is the second of two purchased over a 4-year period. Easy assembly, lightweight, so one person install is doable. This 40’ x 48’ tinted awning was installed over newly installed pool equipment to shade from direct sunlight in an effort to extend the equipment’s lifespan.

    Absolutely love this awning! It will require 2 people to mount it if you put it together prior to installing it. I put the frame together first, then mounted it, then removed the end bracket and slide the overhead panels into place then put the end bracket back inplace. Love the way it looks on the shop and very practical. Worth the money.

    Can the width be trimmed down from 48\" to 44\"?

    This item has other grey and coffee color. And the width be trimmed down from 48\" to 44\", but you need to cut the solar panel short and also cut the front and rear aluminum strips to the same length. At the same time, you need tools that can handle aluminum strips.

    How far apart are the screw holes horizontally? The width shows as 48 inches but are the holes going to be 46 inches apart? And also what about the vertical hole positions? The height is 11 inches but where are the hole positions and how far apart and how far from top and bottom? Is there a proper full size chart?

    Thank you for your detailed questions. The horizontal distance between the screw holes is about 45.3–45.7 inches. The vertical distance between the screw holes is about 7.5 inches. For best results, we recommend holding the unit in place first, marking the hole positions on the wall, and then drilling accordingly to ensure accurate installation.
