If you're comfortable assembling furniture and only buy one, the process isn't too time-consuming. I recommend these bookcases over other lower-priced options because the false backs slide into prefabricated inserts, unlike other bookcases that require you to nail the false backs to the edge. The tool kit that comes with the bookcases provides all the tools, so no hammer is required. I'm very satisfied with my purchase.
