    I chose this base for ease of use. Each piece can be filled with water and when all 4 are filled there is plenty of weight to hold umbrella in place. Solid quality and construction. Quick shipping. Item was well packaged. Price point was very reasonable. Would definitely purchase again.

    If you fill it with sand it will withstand a monsoon hurricane force winds. Last week we had a huge storm come through and it was strong enough to knock down part of my cinderblock fence. My umbrella did not budge.
