This is a powerful little blender. I thought I'd give it a try and put dried seaweed, water and a couple of aspirin in it to treat an avocado tree I have in a pot on my patio. It seems to have some brown spots. That being said, I put the seaweed and aspirin in the blender and filled it with water. Without thinking too much, I turned it on and holy crap. Green seaweed was everywhere. So I thought I'd skip the pictures of that mess. Not the smartest thing I did today. So I will warn you, with this beautiful blender, always keep the lid on. I'm going to clean it. I give it 5 stars because it taught me a lesson. Now to clean up the kitchen and start over. Oh, and yes. It has a full size glass pitcher and one for smoothies.

Doubtful that anything that gets this many reviews would need another, but why not. I bought it for smoothies so that I could get more nutrients into my body, and I do, but this new source of nutrients sometimes feels more like dessert. This thing makes great smoothies. I haven't tried anything else with it yet, although I'm sure I will one day, but smoothies are why I bought it. Another reviewer mentioned that it feels a little cheap, and I have to agree. There is nothing about it that isn't plastic, except for the blades and some of the screws. I take good care of things, so I imagine it will last a long time. I'm very happy with this purchase. It's easy to clean, but the blades have to be handled with care, which is something I'm very careful about since I can be clumsy at times.

We just started using my blender to make protein smoothies for 2 people. Of course, it would stall and we would have to stop, shake it, and blend again until it was a smooth and thick consistency. The machine would get hot. I researched all types of blenders from $80 to $500, I read many reviews and watched many YouTube video reviews. My budget is very tight like most people. I chose an entry level blender and decided to place my order. I have been using it for 5 days now and am glad I made the right choice. It seems to be durable. We wipe down the machine and self clean it after each use and also hand wash the blender jar and dry it completely to prevent it from getting cloudy in the future like others have said.

My beloved blender was 23 years old and cost me a fortune when it broke. I chose this one because of the great reviews. So far, it has worked great for making fruit smoothies and blending onions into a smooth paste. Last year, I bought an attachment for my stand blender to shave ice. One of my favorite memories of traveling in Southeast Asia was shaved ice desserts, so I finally bought an attachment so I could make my own. I was (very happily) shocked to see that this one turned regular ice into fluffy, soft snow. No need for my special attachment ever again!!! The only question is the durability of this machine. I can't imagine it lasting 25 years. But then again, I don't know if I will, so I enjoy using this high-performance machine every day. :-)
