Works like a charm!! The absolute easiest way to make homemade ice cream!!!

The machine seems to be built well, but I had trouble getting the mixer to function. The lid seemed to be locked in place., no mixer. Apparently it ended up as user error because me daughter in law was able to get it to work. I wish they could supply a better instruction booklet.

Really big. I was expecting done thing more compact.

This machine is awesome! I bought this after my Ninja creami crapped out after 3 months. I hope this one lasts because the ice cream is perfect. No ice like you get in the creami. I make protein ice cream ( protein shake+pinch of xanthum gum+skinny syrup or sweetener), and it comes out fantastic. Soft serve texture which is my fave. It takes about 30 minutes. Sometimes, I make it early in the day then stick it in the freezer and have harder consistency. Either way, NO ICE! I hope this machine lasts because I love it!

Does what it says it does. Really simple to use, very easy to clean. Works fast. Works well. We use it to make ice cream and slushies. My only complaint is that you cannot buy extra pails per the supplier. That would have been nice.

We love this thing! I’ve had ice cream makers before that you have to put in the freezer, and the ice cream is always soft. This one will make hard ice cream! The trick is finding a good recipe. Don’t skimp on ingredients. Good ingredients make the best ice cream. We’ve tried various flavors, frozen yogurt, and sherbet. We’ve added fruit, nuts, and chocolate chunks. Some things work out better than others, but that’s part of the fun!

This unit refrigerates as it stirs, you are not relying on a previously frozen container to freeze up the ice cream. It only takes about 25 minutes to get the mixture pretty firm. We used it to experiment with vegan ice creams, but we also made regular ice cream. We could make batch after batch without having to re-freeze the container. The mixing bucket slides right out and we can run it through the dishwasher. Easy to clean and it looks good and we store it easily in the pantry. Really well put together machine and hopefully it will continue to run for a long time.

I try to keep kitchen appliances to a minimum, but this ice cream maker is a joy and well worth having. Make a small batch of ice cream at any time with minimum effort. For a basic recipe, I use a can of sweetened condensed milk, 16 oz of fat free half and half, and two tsp vanilla. Just dump it in and let it go. Absolutely delicious.

I have to put something heavy on the top to keep the motor spinning but other than that I love it!

This is the best Ice cream maker I've owned. The container is only a quart but that is perfect for me. The best part is it's easy to use AND easy to clean. You don't have to put the bowl in the freezer, you don't need salt or anything. I wasn't sure if the motor was going to be strong enough, but I've had this a month now and have made ice cream or frozen yogurt almost every night. I'm super happy with this purchase.
Tips:
1) Don't over fill the bowl, as others have said leave space about 1 1/2 inches from the top as you don't want it overflowing as it churns, then you'll have a mess to clean up.
2) Another reviewer had complaints about it not working if the lid isn't on just right. So, make sure the motor snaps into the plastic lid part all the way on both sides. Then follow the arrows putting it on the machine and then turn all the way to the right until it snaps into place. If the motor isn't snapped into the lid part on both sides it won't turn on. But if you know that, it's super easy.

We've had ours about a month and made a lot of wonderful low-carb ice cream. The secret is to add some polydextrose along with your erythritol. We could not get this machine to work at first and there was no manual with it or available for download. There's an embossed arrow on the lid that needs to point towards the other controls or it will not run. It fits the same when it's turned the wrong way, so if yours doesn't turn the spatula, put the lid on the other direction.

Best little Ice Cream Maker. Love that I can have Ice Cream in as little as 30 minutes. Low Noise Volume. I had a learner's curve figuring out the Recipe size. I wouldn't go over 2- 2 1/2 cups whipping cream plus the other ingredients. Best Quality for the Price Buy that I have found all year

We are using daily, experimenting with recipes, love a great dessert. Making sugar free vanilla ice cream, which is why I got unit. Six of us can have about half a cup each out of mixer, perfect for my family.
Pros: This unit works well for small batches. It cools the mix. It makes ice cream in 30-45 minutes.
Cons: No recipes came with this, no instructions. It is not complicated, but had to use internet for recipes and reduce for half quart container.

I was concerned about this machine because of the low price but it was definitely a good buy. I have made several batches with no issues. Takes about 45 minutes and is very easy to clean.

I was a little skeptical about how well it would make ice cream without ice, rock salt, and a lot of noise - I was happily surprised! I can't believe how quiet it is compared to the traditional ice cream makers (I don't have to put this machine outside!) and the ice cream is done in like, half an hour or so and although soft, it's actually firmer than the stuff I was making the big messy, noisy way! The pail seems small, but it actually holds about half the amount of my traditional recipe, so I just make the ice cream in two batches - which is easy since I can set the machine and walk away and it has a loud alarm to tell me when it is done. Ice cream lovers, this is the machine you want!! A really cool feature of this machine is that you use ROOM TEMPERATURE ice cream base - no need to refrigerate it for hours!

I was a little nervous getting this from some of the reviews but now I’m so glad I did. I found a good recipe and the ice cream is much better than store bought.

But funny. Obviously a Google translate. I almost returned it cause I couldn’t get it to run. But Hey Hey Hey. Once you figure out the correct way to use it it made me a quart of DANDY diabetic frozen yogurt. Made from Glucerna Pecan and some vanilla soy milk. Whew! Delish. For 65 cents a bowl. This could be the start of a fattening friendship. Negative: Many nooks and grannies that are difficult to clean.

1/3 cup 2/3 cup 1-1/3 cup Granulated Sugar
½ Tbs 1 Tbs 2 Tbs Flavor Extract (or to taste)*

1/8 tsp ¼ tsp ½ tsp Xanthan Gum

*Amounts suitable for Vanilla or Almond Extract:
*Peppermint Extract has a strong flavor; start with 1 tsp, 2 tsp, or 4 tsp
**The Vodka is not necessary. It simply makes the ice cream easier to scoop directly out of the freezer
Combine all but the milk in a blender and blend briefly on the lowest speed, making sure all ingredients are mixed thoroughly. Then add whole milk as needed to bring the total volume up to the given amount. Blend again.
Chill the blender jar and its contents for 30 minutes or more in the refrigerator.
Follow the instructions for your ice cream freezer to make the ice cream.
Variations:
Almond Cherry Ice Cream
Add frozen sweet cherries cut into quarters to almond ice cream base after pouring it into the ice cream freezer and before freezing. Cover the top of the soft-frozen ice cream in the storage container with a thin layer of sliced almonds.
1 cup 2 cups 4 cups Quartered Frozen Cherries
To taste Sliced Almonds
Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Chop dark or semi-sweet chocolate into small bits and add to Mint Ice Cream base after adding milk to the blender jar and blend. Freeze as usual.

Great ice cream maker which freezes the ice cream on its own. No need to pre-freeze bowl or add ice. Makes soft serve ice cream in about 30 minutes. Makes enough ice cream each time to serve 3 persons 2 scoops each.

Not going to lie. This being my very first machine to make ice cream at the price I paid. $130.00 I didn't have much expectations as well other machines were around 200+. So I made a batch and started letting the machine work. To my surprise it actually made the ice cream very fast. In 20 minutes I had ice cream made and ready to go! So if your curious if this is worth it? For my first experience with an ice cream machine maker. Yes. Works great and I hope you have a good experience aswell.

I searched for a long time to find a 1-quart ice cream maker that didn't need ice or to be put into the freezer. This one worked perfectly the 1st time. Since I found a great recipe, I can now make just about any flavor I have a taste for. It cleans up easily, even when I overfilled it, and all the parts can be stored together.

This little machine outperforms a much more expensive name brand Ice cream maker I used before.

I don’t have the freezer space for a frozen cylinder so this is great. You can be spontaneous and make frozen yogurt, ices or ice cream. Not a huge amount but enough for having a few people over.

I just received my Costway ice cream machine the other day. Last night I made one recipe of Ben & Jerry's vanilla recipe. Yummy. There are two drawbacks to this machine: 1. The area that makes the ice cream is small. I had to make four batches of ice cream from one recipe. However, since it only takes 30 minutes to make the ice cream, that is not a problem for me. 2. There is no spot where you can add things to the ice cream without removing the motor, which is located in the top. More expensive models have a little area where you can remove part of the top so that you drop in chocolate, fruit, or other items while the paddle continues to churn. This one does not. However, for this price, I can do without chocolate chip ice cream. For anything else, I can remove the top, add a little bit, close the top to mix, add a little bit, etc.

I have really enjoyed this ice cream maker. I was able to make 3 batches of ice cream for my family. Very easy to clean and maintain. I would highly recommend anyone to purchase this item.

Very pleased with this purchase. I have only received this two days ago, so I can't rate it for long term reliability. I have used it twice so far, and both times I made delicious premium ice cream, taking about 10 minutes for preparation and 30 minutes for freezing. There is no need for chilling ingredients in advance and no need to freeze the ice cream container before use. Just pour the mix into the container on turn it on. It beeps when it is done. My kids love making this and eating the results.
