Tolerance is needed in any mechanical assembly for an item to be securely constructed.

The screws did not easily fit into the threaded holes, tolerance was not taken into account. Knowing the ins and outs of threaded holes in relation to fastening screws is crucial to ensuring a mechanical assembly is securely constructed, at the end to the naked eye the chairs look nice, but when paying attention the chairs were a bit crooked. It was tricky to put all the pieces together and took time.
