I installed and used this vise right out of the box. I had a little trouble matching the mounting holes on the vise with the slots on my drill press table. I am impressed with the way this tool works. It is very easy to position the workpiece with the vise hand wheels. Once positioned the vise maintains it position for many repeat drilling. I have used it to drill hole in wood an metal anywhere from 1/8 inch to 5/8 inches. The holes are accurate to the required location. My aim was to have a vise that is easy to use and accurate for my needs, not a professional vise that can be set to micrometer perfection. This vise does the job and I recommend it very highly.
