I needed a standing desk for a small space that was not motorized. And I wanted a desk that was lower than 28" at its lowest point to not put strain on my shoulders and wrists when typing while seated. These qualities are difficult to find so I was happy to find this desk! It was relatively straightforward to assemble (watch the video!) except for one defective screw that I had to replace. Its main drawbacks are that it can feel slightly wobbly when in standing position (understandable given that it's small and relatively lightweight) and the mechanism for raising and lowering is a bit stiff. To lower it, you need to apply a bit of force. Once started, it's fine. To get something smoother and sturdier would cost a great deal more. For my needs, this was a good value and I'm happy that I can work comfortably both sitting and standing. It accommodates my external monitor as well as a laptop.

I was very close to returning this item since the legs were of different length and I had no idea of how to make them equal length to set up this standing desk properly until I queried/search through the Q&A/reviews for this product to properly adjust the (hefty, weight-wise)) legs length. It wasn't until "Step 4" of the manual's instruction that the legs could be equal length to setup the rest of the standing desk (kind of a pain since the instructions has no 'written' out instructions and just pictures of how to set it up with the provided tools and allen/screws.) Even then, with this setup fully, the standing desk is still a little short and didn't really help out my back (case of scoliosis, I don't believe it was worth the price quoted).
