For our purpose we attached it to a board and the board where we wanted it. Installation was quick, easy and it has had no issues staying in place. This shade was for the side of the porch to keep the sun glare off the front door and give shade on the porch in the evening. It was the perfect size for what we needed and serves it purpose well. The color is pleasing. Being outside though we make sure and roll it up on windy days. It is easy to roll up or down anyway. It has the means to hook or weight down but with the wind we can get I'm not going to risk leaving it down. It has so far proven to be very weather durable and we have been very pleased with it.

We use our shade on the West side of the house to shade the patio area, and keep the direct sun off the house. Easy to roll up and down. Blocks sun without blocking out all the light.
