They are described as gray but the really are more beige, which is just fine by me. They were relatively easy to assemble and are pretty comfortable.

These chairs compare favorably in both appearance and quality to similar style chairs I've seen in furniture stores for as high as two to three hundred apiece other than the higher priced chairs have been upholstered in real leather. However, I personally prefer the polyurethane leather for dining chairs as it doesn't require the use of anything fabric unfriendly to maintain it nor protect it from food or wine stains. The upholstery seams are all straight and well-sewn. The holes for the hex head bolts all line up perfectly and two hex wrenches came in each box of two chairs. The only assembly required is four bolts and washers per chair to attach the base to chair.Short of a serious disability, anyone should be able to assemble one of the chairs in five minutes or less. I agree with the other reviewers that have commented that these chairs are taupe. The color I received closely matches the color that is shown on my monitor in the photo in the description. The PU leather is also matte as it appears in the photo so there is no shine that screams, "Icky fake leather." The stainless base is fairly lightly brushed. It still retains enough shine so that it harmonizes nicely with a nearby, highly polished chrome etagere. These chairs are quite sturdy and heavy. Their weight caused the button glides to do more catching in my 1/2" pile oriental carpet than gliding. I added some 1-inch x 4-inch glides (for carpet only) which allows the chairs to slide easily when sitting down at the table and when I need to move the chairs to vacuum. The seat is a fairly firm, high density foam which strikes a good balance in providing enough "cush" to be comfortable yet does a respectable job of preventing one's tush from heavy bottoming out.

I like these. They are heavy and have good material. Very comfortable.

I love these chairs but they were not gray they are taupe but the look and feel it awesome. I ended up giving them away after a year.

The color its nice taupe.Vety stylish.Easy to put together.The only problem its a bit heavy.
